As a direct primary care provider, we focus on you and your health without the influence of unnecessary third party restrictions. We see far fewer patients than a traditional insurance-based practice so we can provide you the best care possible.
Our patient benefits include full access to care without barriers. You’ll have more time with your provider, 24/7 access, no co-pays, and no limit on visits. This includes physicals, pediatric care, wellness education, chronic disease management, simple procedures, sick visits, and more. Check out our full description of benefits here.
Adam Courchaine is a Physician Assistant and founder of NuMed Direct Primary Care. He graduated with honors from UMASS Amherst in 1995 with a BS in Exercise Science, and began his career as an Exercise Physiologist. He then went on to work as a Pulmonary Technologist at Boston Children’s Hospital where he was exposed to the diversity of the medical field. He decided to continue his education at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) and graduated in 2006 with honors for Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS).
Adam has worked in Internal Medicine/Primary Care, Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Urgent Care. In 2012, he joined the Army National Guard as a PA. In 2015, he and his family moved to Colorado for more life experiences. He was deployed to the Middle East in 2017 and again in 2020. He now serves in an Aviation Battalion.
Adam believes that nutrition, preventative health and lifestyle choices are key to a happy and youthful life. He has found the changing healthcare scene in the U.S. over the past 15 years to be a struggle at times. More and more focus is being spent on inefficiently spending incredible amounts of money to please the insurance companies while patients are feeling more alienated than ever. Then came along the DPC model! This has become a passion of his and the reason he started NuMed Direct Primary Care.
In his free time he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, doing functional exercise programs and exploring the outdoors with his wife, son and daughter, and their 4 dogs.
Tony Schock served in the U.S. Army and Colorado Army National Guard for over 25 years before joining the NuMed family. He obtained his Physician Assistant training through the University Of Nebraska School Of Medicine. He has enjoyed several areas of focus in his 19 year medical career to include family medicine, neurology, occupational health, and urgent care. Tony and his wife Peggy have been married for over 25 years and they have one son. They enjoy spending time together, fishing, hiking, and camping.

She has a wide range of knowledge from early adults to the elderly, specializing in disease prevention education. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge base by starting a functional medicine practitioner program in fall of 2020. Dara lives with her husband, Adam, 2 children and 4 dogs. She has a passion for healthy living and enjoys new adventures, nature, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
